Question:

What causes muscle cramps?

Answer:

Most often people think of muscle cramps being caused by overworking the muscle tissue, a lack of oxygen to the muscle tissue, or a potassium deficiency to the muscle tissue. It is true that any of those things can cause muscle cramps, however, what is often the cause is an alteration in CALCIUM levels to the muscle tissue.
