Description
This course is a continuation of DMS 224 OB/GYN Ultrasound I. This course will place emphasis on fetal anomalies that
can occur across the gestational period. Normal anatomy in the second and third trimesters will be discussed with
importance placed on identification of the pathological processes, sonographic appearances, correlation with clinical
history and diagnostic testing or procedures and clinical management options. Topics will include, but are not limited
to, maternal diseases and potential fetal consequences, multiple gestations, management of high-risk pregnancies,
assessment of fetal well-being, the role of Doppler, interventional procedures and advanced technologies currently
used in obstetrics. Abnormal case studies will be reviewed.
