Description

This advanced course provides an overview of pediatric and musculoskeletal sonography, expanding students’
understanding of specialized anatomical structures, common pathologies, and appropriate scanning approaches.
Students will strengthen their clinical reasoning skills, enhance their ability to correlate sonographic findings with
patient history and pathology, and deepen their understanding of the professional responsibilities of the diagnostic
medical sonographer. Emphasis is placed on composing detailed diagnostic reports, gathering pertinent patient
information, and supporting ultrasound-guided procedures once pathology is identified.
Credits: 3.0
