Description

This course focuses on the pathology and pathophysiology of the neck, thyroid, breast, non-cardiac chest, scrotum,
prostate, superficial aspect of the extremities and musculoskeletal system. A review of anatomy and physiology along
with scanning techniques and protocols will be given and the abnormal sonographic appearances of pathologic
conditions will be discussed. Correlation of pertinent clinical history, symptoms, clinical laboratory tests and other
diagnostic procedures will be emphasized.
Credits: 3.0
Prerequisites: HPS 100, DMS 140, DMS 206, DMS 209, SCI206
