Description
The directed study allows students the opportunity to complete a course of study when there is a
deficiency in course requirements. It is determined by the BSN Program Director.
Credits: 0 – 6.0
Prerequisites: Permission of the BSN Program Director or Academic Dean ofNursing.
Credit Hours:
• 0.5 credit hours - students who left NMC for two or more semesters and only need clinical
• skills
• 1.0 credit hours - students who left NMC for two or more semesters and need didactic content
• and clinical skills
• 1.5 credit hours - student bridging from the Community Based curriculum to the Population
• Health curriculum (includes didactics content, laboratory and/or clinical skills)
• 2.0 credit hours - students who left NMC for two or more semesters and need to bridge from
• the Community Based curriculum to the Population Health curriculum (includes didactics
• content, laboratory and/or clinical skills)
• 0.5-6.0 credits hours - for special a circumstance(s) - to be determine
