Description

This course aims to prepare RN students for the role of a BSN-prepared professional nurse. Emphasis is on professional
practice roles and professional nursing concepts, including critical evaluation of evidence-based practices. Students will
explore differences in nursing education and practice levels, professional practice issues, and population health
education. An examination of the ethical elements in nursing practice to maintain professional standards will be
explored. The course will also guide students in envisioning the future of professional nursing and patient care quality.
Credits: 3.0
Prerequisites: All pre-program requirements are completed or by permission
