Description
This course will provide students with a comprehensive overview of healthcare delivery systems and their impact on
patient care and population health. The interconnectedness of various components within the healthcare system
including organizational structures, policies, and processes will be explored. Students will gain insights in the role of
nurses in navigating and contributing to effective, patient-centered care within complex healthcare systems. The
significance of promoting health equity and improving healthcare delivery as change agents and leaders will be
examined. Students will engage in strategies to address structural racism and to advocate for the needs of diverse
populations in continually evolving healthcare systems. (Students matriculating Spring 2025)
