Description

This Explores the role of occupational therapy in population health initiatives. Covers social determinants of health,
prevention, and community-based interventions. Students will design population-based programs to enhance
occupational participation. Emphasis is placed on occupational therapy’s role in health promotion. Course meets online
asynchronous. Lab applies population health concepts through experiential learning. Focuses on program development
and evaluation in community settings. Students will collaborate with community partners to address occupational
needs. Lab activities will include field-based observations and project development. Lab course meets face to face.
