Description
Advances knowledge and skills required in pediatric occupational therapy settings. Focus is placed on evidence-based
evaluation, intervention, and outcomes associated with developmental disabilities and their impact on the child and
family. This course prepares students to effectively advocate for and support the occupational needs of children and
youth in clinical and community contexts. Course lecture is online asynchronous. Lab applies theoretical concepts
through case-based learning, collaborative projects, and hands-on experiences. Students enhance their competencies
in creating individualized treatment plans, integrating family dynamics, and promoting participation. Lab course meets
face to face.
