After you successfully complete the AHA course you will be assigned an eCard. You can claim this eCard two ways.

• You will receive an email from eCards@heart.org. We recommend that you add the email address, eCards@heart.org, to your Address Book or Contacts to help prevent the email from being accidentally marked as Spam or Junk. See directions below.
• Texting Feature Now Available for Students to Claim/View eCards. You must opt-in 3-5 days after your class (or when you receive the email notification that your card has been issued) to receive a text message to claim and view their eCard by texting “eCard” to the number “51736.” You cannot opt-in before your class or before your ecard is issued. If you do, you will receive a message back that your phone number has not been found.

The email will come from the American Heart Association. You will ‘click here to claim your eCard.’ The Student Profile page is pre-populated with some non-editable information. You must then set up a security question and answer (case-sensitive) that you will use to access your eCard Profile in the future. You must agree to the Terms of Use for the website. To view the Terms of Use, click the hyperlink “Terms of Use.” Once you agree to the Terms of Use and click Submit, the system will display the Rate Your AHA Class page. Click on the answer of choice for each section. You can skip the questions if desired. Your eCard will then be displayed on the webpage; you can print, take a screen shot to save the document, and/or email it. Once you claim your eCard you can view it on the website: https://ecards.heart.org/student/myecards  

These are the instructions on how to use the DVD player in room #3245.

1. Click on the folder on the bottom of the screen on the task bar.
2. Right click on the DVD media Icon and click open.
3. After opening the DVD media icon, a Video TS folder should be present.
4. Click on this folder.
5. Scroll all the way down to VTS 14_0. (There will be several VTS 14 options but only one 14_0.)
6. Right click this line and click on play.
7. The menu to start class should show up and then you should be able to go through the choices. Should the DVD not want to continue playing after it is paused, please close VLC player and repeat steps 4-6 if you have not closed the windows navigator. If the navigator was closed, repeat steps 1-6.
