Description

Air Force Heritage and Values I is a survey course designed to introduce students to the United States Air and Space
Forces. It provides an overview of the basic characteristics, missions and organization of the Air and Space Forces. As a
foundational course, the topics covered in AER 131 will include Air Force Core Values, Formation of the Air Force,
Customs and Courtesies, Writing and Verbal Communications, Benefits of Services as well as Introduction to Leadership
to name a few. For students who continue in the Air Force ROTC (AFROTC) program, this course will be the foundation
for becoming an Air or Space professional by outlining our heritage and values. Leadership Laboratory (AER 001) is
mandatory for AFROTC cadets and complements this course by providing advanced leadership experiences in a handson, supervised environment. NOTE: This course is offered in partnership with the University of Nebraska-Omaha
