Description
This course is designed to provide a foundation for students to develop a clear understanding of how society, politics
and world issues influence healthcare in the U.S. Topics included in this course are bioethical issues, and contemporary
issues such as bioterrorism, human genome project, rising prescription drug costs, urbanization, social stress and
mental illness.
