Description

Students will deepen their understanding of ethical principles and legal frameworks guiding safe, patient-centered care
within the LPN scope of practice. This course covers healthcare delivery systems, organizational structures, and
foundational strategies for quality improvement, risk management, disaster preparedness, and emergency response.
Emphasis is placed on applying the nursing code of ethics and developing professional behaviors in leadership, safety,
informatics, and performance improvement. Students will also begin focused NCLEX-PN preparation, integrating core
knowledge with critical thinking and clinical decision-making to support their transition to competent, accountable,
and collaborative entry-level practical nurses.
Credits: 2.0
