Description

This course focuses on synthesis of population health in the continuum of care for individuals, families, and aggregates
in a variety of settings. Students will personalize their professional nurse role through nursing theory, knowledge, and
concepts. Students will integrate clinical judgment to create holistic health solutions and optimal outcomes. Students
will examine professional roles in accordance with regulatory and accrediting processes.
The extended clinical practicum offers students diverse experiences with varied populations across the lifespan while
building on skills of advocacy, prioritization, leadership, autonomy and inter-professional collaboration. Students will
analyze evidence based practice and research findings to improve population health outcomes.
