Description
In this first course of the capstone sequence, students synthesize concepts related to research and nursing practice as
well as experiences learned throughout the master’s program of study. Within a collaborative environment and under
the direction of faculty, student groups will plan, develop, evaluate and disseminate an evidence-based project.
Emphasis is placed on identifying a nursing problem, developing a PICO (T) question, performing a structured search
plan, critically appraising the literature, and developing a summary matrix table.
