Description
In this course, students will begin to build a foundation of knowledge pertaining to surgical instrumentation and
equipment in the operating room. The students will be introduced to the physical principles of mechanics, heat, sound,
electricity, magnetism and light as they apply to the operation of laser and electrical surgical equipment. In this course,
the students will also learn the principles and practices of different sterilization techniques utilized to disinfect surgical
instrumentation.
