Making learning visible: Using formal and informal tools to know where students really are! With Drs. Larry Hughes & Hilary Applequist

The professor asks a question and a couple of students answer. But where is the rest of the class in relation to the content? What do they really understand? And where do they need our help? This session will offer formal and informal strategies to more accurately gauge how well our learners are comprehending course concepts/skills. We will also discuss how we can then use these assessments to modify our instruction on-the-fly.
